Has any one elnse had this experience/ I had to have a complete hysterectomy at the age of 33. In the past few years(since I was diagnosed with osteoporosis) I have had a couple Dr's that seen my records and told me the hysteretomy saved my life at the time but deffinately contributed to the fact that I had osteoporosis now. I was also told that not taking the hormone replacement therepy for a couple years after the surgery didn't help me either. So, it seems, that from my experiences that lack of hormones play a big part in our bone health I would like your feedback. Thanks :)

It took hormone replacements for about 6 years when I didn't need them any more. I really glad I did. I problably wouldn't be married anymore if I hadn't!

I had my hysteretomy at 26. I took the hormone replacements for several years, but the side effects out weighted the positive so my doc took me off them. I haven't taken them for about 15 years now. I found out about my osteopoeosis about a year ago
